Episode 119— 5 Ideas to Inspire Huge Change in 2026
Transcript
I am recording this on dec 21st, winter solstice. The shortest day of the year.
If you listen to this podcast, you know that you are more powerful than you realize….that your thoughts are a creative power, that while you are handed a certain set of circumstances over which you have NO control, you have enormous control over how you interact with the circumstances of your life, that everything is energy and vibration as Nikola Tesla said, and that your thoughts are a form of energy that creates a vibration called a feeling. These ideas are starting to make their way into the zeitgeist.
At some point, you learned these things for the first time. And once you learn them, it changes how you perceive your life, and it changes how you solve problems, right? When you understand that HOW you think about a problem changes the outcome, you’ll never problem solve in the same way. You will always start by checking in with what you are thinking and how you want to think about a problem.
So, that said, I want to give you some powerful food for thought as you begin your planning process for 2026—thinking about what you want to create, and what you want to leave behind. Powerful new ideas, powerful new thoughts to think—it’s the most valuable thing I can offer you. So I am going to offer you 6 powerful ideas, and then I will give you a specific TO DO, or how you can incorporate this idea into your life to make it tangible.
Here are some ideas that are guiding what I am creating in 2026. As in all things—take what resonates, leave the rest.
1. We are either going to become creators or consumers. The world is tempting us to stay asleep and addicted—constantly consuming and being distracted. Decide to take your life back. Set your own standards. Question anything that is demanding your attention.
2. Prayer is a declaration, not a cry for help. You are not helpless. You are giving instructions to the universe you are in charge of. Step up into that authority. Take the reins. Decide what you want to create and then ask what you would like help with.
3. Metacognition has quickly become, according to neuroscientists, THE most important skill to increase confidence and resilience. Metacognition is a fancy word for what you have been learning here on the podcast—it is the ability to think about your thinking. There will be nothing more important in 2026 than to increase your agility in metacognition. What does that mean? You want to be part of a group that is doing thought work, so that you become an advanced student. You experience your life with your mind. Investing in your mind is your single most important investment.
4. Authenticity over positivity. The point is not to feel good all the time, the point is to be yourself. To enjoy being you. To stop feeling like you need to be fixed. And to express yourself freely—creatively, artistically, in relationships. Are there places or people in your life where you hide, or edit yourself to the point where you feel like it isn’t safe to be true to yourself? Start realigning.
5. Stillness---I am amplifying the importance of stillness in my life. It can be meditation but it can also be tiny moments throughout the day when I cease thinking. It’s a pause, a break of nothingness. If we want to create a new outcome, we have to think something new, right? Old thought patterns create the same old outcomes. So we need to think about our thinking, but we also need to stop thinking sometimes, let your mind rest in the void—it is like a reboot in the mind that helps us tap into new thought forms. In the Mayan calendar, there is a void period, a space between the ending and the new beginning, it is marked as the 13th month. We as a society think 13 is bad luck, and we eliminate it whenever we can—there are no 13th floors in buildings, people don’t want to get married or do anything important on Friday the 13th—it’s like we eliminated the void from our consciousness and now that’s how we operate: no one gets to pause, no one gets to rest, just end and start over. In many spiritual traditions, the number 13 is strongly linked to the Divine Feminine signifying creation itself, and transformation, and natural rhythms.
A word about AI----our future is all about prizing our humanity and cultivating connection in an increasingly technological world. Use AI, do not let it use you.
There is nothing more important than your adaptability amid uncertainty.
What stands in the way of your own healing, your ascension, your own feeling better?
Decide what kind of life you want and say no to everything that isn’t that.
